“We are Unitarian Universalists: a people of the open mind, the loving heart, and the helping hands.”

Our Sunday morning programs nurture truth-seeking, spirituality, and progressive moral values that will continue to shape and support our children as they grow. Program content varies, but consistently includes concepts of kindness, respect, fairness, caring, and standing for love and justice.

We begin our morning all together in the Main Sanctuary for the beginning of the service. After the Time for All Ages, children and youth are also invited to separate programming. At Northlake, children are welcome where their families are, and their adult family members are welcome where they are. So children and youth may choose to remain in the Sanctuary for the full service, and/or family members may join children in their classes.

Activity corner for children

Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church provides childcare from birth through preschool for parents and caregivers attending the Sunday worship service. Your children will be supervised by our nursery staff, and welcomed to play together and read.

Parents and caregivers are invited to stay with their children as long as needed for everyone to feel comfortable in their surroundings and to check in at any time.

Our elementary programs combine story, song, art, movement, discussion, and play to engage children with many learning styles, abilities, and activity levels.

Children are always welcome to stay with their parents during the service, if they prefer. Once a month, we have multigenerational services.

Middle and high schoolers meet to worship, play games, enjoy conversation, participate in social justice, and explore special topics. Each session includes opportunities for discussion, self-expression, and development of personal faith statements and spiritual practices. Youth also encouraged to participate in choir, special music, as greeters, and as celebrants in the service.
