MORE ABOUT THE NORTHLAKE CHAPEL

Northlake Chapel is a beautifully restored historic church in Kirkland, WA, originally built in 1938. The chapel has newly-restored fir floors and beautiful millwork. There is a large window at one end and a round stained glass window at the other end, and a loft offering additional seating for 25. The main floor holds 120 for weddings or 75 for receptions. For a wedding with a small guest list, the chapel can be arranged for the ceremony in the front half and the reception in the back.

This venue is more intimate than the Northlake sanctuary. Many couples choose to hold their wedding ceremony in the chapel, and their reception right next door, in the main sanctuary. This allows the reception to be set up in advance, and can accommodate more guests. Tables and chairs are provided.

The chapel can also accommodate other ceremonies, memorial services, conferences, art workshops, luncheons, dance or exercise classes, or parties. The wood floor makes an excellent dance floor. A basic sound system is available, as is an upright piano.

There is a room on the side of the chapel which includes a small kitchenette. This venue can serve as a dressing room, an area where a buffet could be set up, or a staging area for the caterers.

Northlake is located a short walk from downtown Kirkland, WA which has hotels and numerous restaurants. Kirkland is a short drive from Seattle, Redmond, and Bellevue.
