SAFETY
Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church is committed to the safety of children in our program. Learn more about our Safe Congregation Policy.
Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church provides activities and classes for children and youth during Sunday morning services. We start the morning together in the Main Sanctuary, participating in the Sunday morning worship service. Children and youth are welcome to stay in the service with their families or join us after the time for all ages in classes and activities that are designed to build community, learn together, and practice the values that we share in an environment that centers the needs of children and youth. At Northlake, children are always welcome where their folks are, and parents and caregivers are welcome where their children are. We are committed to supporting families in making the choice that works for them.
Help your child have a better experience by bringing them often. Regular attendance allows children to build relationships at church and permits more continuity between lessons. Please make Sunday morning church a family ritual.
Please register your children and youth, ages 0-18, for our Sunday morning religious education programs on an annual basis. Registering is essential to the functioning of our programs, giving parents and care providers access to important information about classes, weekly emails, and timely updates.
Children and Youth Program Registration
Children of visitors are welcome. After you’ve visited a few times, we ask that families register for our Children’s and Youth programming, which allows us to know more about the children that we are serving and to collect contact information for sending out weekly program updates.

There are a number of volunteer roles in our Religious Education program. If you are interested assisting with classes, playing with young children in the nursery, or joining the Religious Education Team, please contact our Director of Religious Lifespan Education Margaret Rogers at [email protected].
Please note that our safety policies require volunteers to be background-checked and participate in volunteer training, and to have been active with the congregation for at least 6 months.
