Unitarian Universalist services are similar to most other churches. There are readings and hymns, often live instrumental or choral music. There is a time for people to share significant events in their lives. There is often a story for children early in the service, before they leave the sanctuary for their classes downstairs. You are welcome to visit and to explore with us. Wear whatever you feel comfortable wearing!
Unless otherwise noted, all services and children’s religious education programs take place on Sundays between 10:30am and 11:45am. Child care is available.
We invite you to remain after the service for coffee and conversation.
Past month’s services can be found here.

Moving From Violence Toward Hope Taking a look at significant writings in the fields of biology and social psychology of the last century we find the dilemma of our present age is anticipated. Present writers find a tenuous hope in that dilemma. We’ll explore the spiritual challenge these thinkers present for our time. Town Hall meeting The Religious Education Advisory Council would like to cordially invite everyone to stay for the town hall meeting after the service this Sunday. Shannon Gordon and the rest of the RE Committee team will be presenting their proposal for next year’s RE schedule. They’ve put a lot of work into this proposal, and it promises some exciting and positive changes for Northlake. There will be time for questions after the presentation. This is open to all members and friends, not just parents! This will impact the entire Northlake community, so be sure to come, share your thoughts, and ask any questions. |

Thirty-Something’s Perspective on the United States of America Raised in the Midwest by a conservative Catholic father and a liberal UU mother, perspective on life in the United States of America was somewhat narrow. Contrast the conservative upbringing with the life of a thirty–something Northwest transplant, and the transition has been much more challenging than expected. |
