Summer 2017 Program
Here at Northlake we focus on building relationships and having fun during the summer months! We have two groups during the summer – one for younger children (approximately ages 6 and under) and one for older children and youth.
Children 6 and under are welcome to join our regular teachers in the nursery/preschool classrooms for free play and art activities. Children can be dropped off before the service, or they can start in the sanctuary for the beginning of the service and then join the group after the Time for All Ages story. When the weather is good, we play outside for the second half of the morning (bring hats and sunscreen!).
Children 6 and over are invited to join their families for the beginning of the service in the sanctuary, then come downstairs after the Time for all Ages. If the weather is good, we will go outside to play for 10-15 minutes, then come in for snacks and a rotating choice of crafts and games with volunteers and our Director of Lifespan Religious Education, Margaret Rogers.
Parents are always welcome to observe or join in for our activities in Children’s Religious Education. If you’d like more information or would like to join our email list for weekly updates, please email Director of Lifespan Religious Education, Margaret Rogers.
In addition to Sunday morning activities, the Religious Education program coordinates family field trips, picnics, and other events throughout the summer. To find out more about these special activities, visit our Events page or email Margaret for more information.
We look forward to seeing you this summer!
